Columbia Neighborbood Association board member Flip Breskin endorses McShane
Flip Breskin is a much beloved neighborhood activist. She’s devoted much of her life thoughtfully engaged in community and neighborhood issues. She’s noted for her "Flip E-mails" sent to folks in the northern neighborhoods and is a member of the board of the Columbia Neighborhood Association. Dan is deeply honored by her endorsement.

Whatcom County Tribes endorse Dan McShane
While on the County Council, Dan brought forward and passed a resolution to protect the human rights of all citizens. Dan deeply respects tribal sovereignty and has established good working relationships with the Tribes. Recently, Dan's been endorsed by the Nooksack Tribe and the Lummi Nation. Dan is sincerely honored by their support.

Dan Received Sole Endorsements from Two Remarkable Unions
Dan is deeply honored by two recent sole endorsements from unions representing Bellingham’s fire fighters (IAFF Local 106) and healthcare workers (SEIU Local 775).

Dan Received Highest Number of Votes
Dan received the highest number of votes, among mayoral candidates, in the primary. See final results here. Dan will face Dan Pike in the General election. Ballots are mailed October 17th. Election Day is November 6th. Whoever wins the race for mayor will be expected to assume office very soon after the election results are certified.

Dan is honored and grateful by the endorsement from Progressive Majority. PM works hard to identify progressive candidates and help them get elected. Dan looks forward the PM’s help as the election season heats up. 

Northern Neighbors Forum
Neighborhood groups are taking a strong lead in talking with mayoral candidates and on May 2nd, the Northern Neighbors hosted the first mayoral forum of the campaign season. Issues Dan has raised are clearly on people's minds. We encourage you to read and compare the candidates' responses to the issues you care about here.

KGMI
A few weeks ago, the headline on KGMI read, "McShane Leads in Mayors' Race Fundraising." This was the second month of the campaign and the second month we've led.

Great Kickoff for Dan
Thank you to everyone who attended the Community Party! Everyone enjoyed free Mallard's, music by the Atlantics, a wonderful, warm introduction from Anne-Marie Faiola, and a great speech from Dan! Just in case there was any room left after Mallard's, India Grill and the Thai House were on hand to feed the dancers and revelers.
